Hamilton Train Station (NJ Transit/Amtrak) nearby as is Newark and Philadelphia International Airports. Bucolic property with working farm on the banks of the Delaware river. Weekly CSA included. (Photos show spring 2021 version of barn- by fall it will be fully renovated.)

Can a couple or working partnership apply:  Evaluated on a case-by-case basis- note there is only one queen bed.

Other: Car is helpful but not required. A bicycle (with helmet) is provided for the resident and the hosts will pick up and drop off residents for their stay and their departure if they are headed to either the NJ Transit/Amtrak or Newark or Philadelphia International Airports.

Rates: No charge for residency. Each resident will receive a $500 stipend on the first day of their stay and a weekly CSA delivery of organic vegetables. Cost of transportation to/from residency and groceries (other than CSA delivery) during stay not included.

A few notes about the property’s location and other caveats: The barn has stairs; dogs and cats have come through the barn and roam freely on the grounds; there are bees on the property (managed by beekeepers), and, just like everywhere we have held The Cabins to date, there is the likelihood of ticks, so if you are squeamish about living close to nature, this opportunity might not be your ideal match. Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am and pets are not allowed. Residents can use the swimming pool and pond on the property once a liability waiver is signed, and the owners—artists themselves—would like residents to leave one piece of art behind; it can be from a prior work, however, it does not have to be something produced or written at the residency so that you can use the residency to be productive in whatever way you see fit.
